Croquet mallets and balls in Narrogin
The short answer: Narrogin players can order an Invictus mallet built to their handle length and have it delivered to the Wheatbelt, and the club can order Invictus X balls by the set. For Narrogin's dry summers and lit evening courts, we suggest the Invictus Rise for most players.
Croquet in Narrogin
Narrogin Croquet Club plays on Earl Street, tucked behind the Narrogin Bowling Club, on three courts that are all lit for evening play. The club has passed its centenary, marked with a gathering of past and present members from across Western Australia. The club runs an annual fundraiser at the bowling club, and in 2025 staged a Croquet Challenge on Thursday evenings from late February into April. Narrogin is affiliated with Croquetwest and plays in the state pennant competitions.
What Narrogin's lawns and weather mean for your mallet
Narrogin is about 190 km south-east of Perth in the central Wheatbelt. Summers are hot and dry, which is why the club plays under lights once the air has cooled, and winters are cool and wet. A summer court baked hard runs very fast; a winter court after rain is soft and slow. Head weight is what keeps a mallet consistent across that range.
Which Invictus mallet suits Narrogin players
Invictus Rise, A$990. Our best seller. The aluminium head sits at about 3 lb, the sweet spot is a little more generous than the RF Pro's. The 11 inch head is the usual fit.
RF Pro, A$1,980. The flagship we developed with World Champion Robert Fletcher: a 3D printed aluminium head carrying brass weights and composite faces, about 2 lb 12 oz, lighter and very precise.
Both models are made once you order, to your handle length, with an 11 or 12 inch head and no choice of weight. Graphite Black is standard; Snow White, NRA Blue, Rose Gold and Deep Purple are A$130.90. Measure yourself with the fitting guide and read compare mallets before you choose.
Balls for Narrogin clubs
Three courts need three sets of first colours and three of second to run a full evening. Invictus X sets are A$990, approved by the World Croquet Federation for championship play, 450 g, and made entirely in Australia. Our page on what WCF approval means explains why that stamp matters for pennants.
Delivery to Narrogin
Because every mallet is built to order, allow about 4 to 8 weeks from ordering until it reaches Narrogin; treat that as an estimate. Balls are sent by courier, and the delivered price to the Wheatbelt is confirmed before you order.
Questions Narrogin players ask
Will the mallet cope with 40 degree days? Yes. An aluminium head and composite faces do not warp in heat. Keep it out of a hot car boot; see product care.
Is there anywhere near Narrogin to try one? No, which is why we offer the optional 30-day satisfaction guarantee (A$99): play with it on Earl Street for a month first.
Which head length for evening golf croquet? The 11 inch head suits most people; a 12 inch head gives a little more forgiveness on long shots.
