Croquet mallets and balls in Milwaukee
The short answer: Milwaukee players can buy an Invictus mallet or Invictus X balls on our website, and we ship to Wisconsin. Golf croquet is a big part of the local game, and for it the Invictus Rise is our usual first pick.
Croquet in Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Croquet Club plays in Lake Park, a city landmark since 1889 on the shore of Lake Michigan, where bowling greens have been part of the park since 1919. The club's lawn is about the size of two tennis courts, flat and well kept. In July 2026 the club celebrated its 34th year with a free doubles tournament that also marked the US Croquet Association's 50th anniversary, and Croquet Network reported 24 players at that summer's Milwaukee Doubles Open, the second of its kind. Earlier events have brought golf croquet teams from Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin to Lake Park for a weekend of competition. A US Croquet Hall of Fame player from nearby Sheboygan helps get beginners started, and local players describe golf croquet as easy to pick up and hard to put down.
What Milwaukee's lawns and weather mean for your mallet
Wisconsin winters are long and cold, so the croquet season is compressed into late spring, summer and early fall. Lake Michigan cools the shoreline on many summer days, and a lake breeze or morning dew can leave the grass damp and slow early on. By a warm afternoon the same lawn can be quick. Golf croquet rewards a clean, repeatable stroke, especially on jump shots.
Which Invictus mallet suits Milwaukee players
Invictus Rise, US$695. Our most popular mallet: about 3 lb of aluminum head and a sweet spot slightly larger than usual, making it a little easier to control for newer golf croquet players. Pick the 11 inch head, as we normally suggest.
RF Pro, US$1,295. Developed with World Champion Robert Fletcher, the flagship pairs a 3D printed aluminum head with brass weights and composite faces. It weighs roughly 2 lb 12 oz and feels lighter and very precise, which suits experienced competitors.
Both are built to order: you supply your handle length, we fit an 11 or 12 inch head. Graphite Black is free; Deep Purple, Rose Gold, NRA Blue and Snow White cost US$119 extra. Read our fitting guide and mallet comparison before ordering.
Balls for Milwaukee clubs
Invictus X has World Croquet Federation championship approval, weighs 450 g and is made entirely in Australia; a set is US$635. Doubles events need first and second colors, so one set of each per lawn is our guide. Croquet ball colors explained has the detail.

Questions Milwaukee players ask
Is it worth ordering in winter? Yes; a winter order should arrive before the lawns open.
Can I see how it plays before committing? The optional 30-day satisfaction guarantee, US$99, gives you that month.
Does damp lake air matter? Not to the aluminum head; dry the faces after play and see product care.
