Croquet mallets and balls in Korumburra
The short answer: Korumburra players can order an Invictus mallet or Invictus X balls online and have them delivered in South Gippsland. On the club's soft, hill-country lawns the Invictus Rise is our usual recommendation, with the RF Pro for players in the shield matches and tournaments.
Croquet in Korumburra
Korumburra Croquet Club plays at 44 Victoria Street, next to the bowling club and behind the recreation centre. After a fire destroyed the old clubhouse, members raised the money for new clubrooms, finished in 2003. Golf croquet is the club's game: competition on Saturdays from 1pm, alternating between the small and the large lawns, and a social session on Tuesday mornings from 10am. Korumburra plays golf croquet pennant in the Gippsland Croquet Association, contests the Bass Coast Shield each year against Leongatha, Phillip Island and Wonthaggi, and since 2016 has played Leongatha in doubles for the Leonburra Shield. It also runs a singles tournament early in the year and a doubles tournament around November. New players can book one-on-one instruction with a club officer at a time that suits.
What Korumburra's lawns and weather mean for your mallet
Korumburra sits high in the Strzelecki Ranges, in green, rolling dairy country. The climate is cool and wet: summers are mild, winters are cold and damp, and the lawns rarely dry out for long. Soft grass for most of the year means the ball needs real mass behind it, and a smooth, repeatable stroke matters more than speed.
Which Invictus mallet suits Korumburra players
Invictus Rise, A$990. Our most popular mallet. Close to 3 lb of aluminium in the head drives the ball across soft hill-country grass, and its slightly larger sweet spot makes it a little easier to control. We usually suggest it with the 11 inch head.
RF Pro, A$1,980. Our top mallet, developed with World Champion Robert Fletcher. It combines a 3D printed aluminium head, brass weighting and composite faces in a mallet of about 2 lb 12 oz: lighter and very precise, for players chasing the Bass Coast Shield.
Every mallet is made after the order is placed, to the handle length you give us and with an 11 or 12 inch head. Graphite Black costs nothing extra; Snow White, Rose Gold, Deep Purple or NRA Blue cost A$130.90. See the fitting guide and the mallet comparison.
Balls for Korumburra clubs
Invictus X, made entirely in Australia, weighs 450 g a ball and holds World Croquet Federation championship approval. A set is A$990, and clubs usually allow first-colour and second-colour sets for each full-size lawn. Read croquet ball colours explained.

Questions Korumburra players ask
Will a 3 lb head feel heavy on the small lawns? Rarely; a shorter backswing handles it. If you want a lighter feel, choose the RF Pro.
Can I try it in a shield match first? If the match falls within 30 days of delivery: the optional satisfaction guarantee is A$99.
Will South Gippsland rain hurt it? No. Wipe it dry; see product care.
