Croquet mallets and balls on the Gold Coast
The short answer: from Southport to Coolangatta, Gold Coast players can order an Invictus mallet built to their handle length, and clubs can order Invictus X ball sets, online with delivery to the coast. The Invictus Rise suits most players here; accuracy-minded golf croquet players may prefer the RF Pro.
Croquet on the Gold Coast
Southport Croquet Club was founded in 1935 and began as a women's club renting four courts at a private home called Wychcourt. It has been at Queens Park since 1952, and marked its 90th year in October 2025 with a garden party in vintage whites. With nearly 100 members it is described as Queensland's largest club and plays association, golf croquet, gateball and ricochet.
Croquet Queensland's Gold Coast Tweed region also takes in Broadbeach, Coolangatta, Tamborine Mountain up in the hinterland, and Burleigh Heads Palm Beach on Abelia Street, which plays golf croquet on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoons, as well as Tweed Heads and Murwillumbah over the border.
What Gold Coast lawns and weather mean for your mallet
The coast stays warm and humid for most of the year. Summer storms roll in during the afternoon, the grass races away, and a lawn that ran well on Saturday can be slow and sticky by Monday. Drier, milder winters bring quick, true lawns. Head weight copes with the soft days; a forgiving sweet spot helps on uneven ones.
Which Invictus mallet suits Gold Coast players
Invictus Rise, A$990. The model our players choose most often. Roughly 3 lb of aluminium head drives the ball through a damp summer lawn, and a slightly bigger sweet spot makes it a little more forgiving to control. The 11 inch head is the usual pairing.
RF Pro, A$1,980. Our flagship, which we developed with World Champion Robert Fletcher. A 3D printed aluminium head holds brass weights and composite faces, and at around 2 lb 12 oz it feels light in the hand and rewards a precise, repeatable swing.
Either is built to the handle length you give us, with a head of 11 or 12 inches. Graphite Black is included; Snow White, NRA Blue, Rose Gold and Deep Purple are A$130.90 on top. Weight is set by the model, not chosen. Find your length on the fitting page.
Balls for Gold Coast clubs
Each Invictus X set costs A$990; the balls weigh 450 g, are made entirely in Australia and carry World Croquet Federation championship approval. Allow a first-colour and a second-colour set per lawn; see how many ball sets a club needs.
Delivery to the Gold Coast
Each mallet is made once ordered and usually arrives on the coast 4 to 8 weeks later. An estimate, never a promise. Balls come by courier, with the delivered price confirmed first.
Questions Gold Coast players ask

Which is better for golf croquet? Both work. Accuracy-first players often take the RF Pro; the Rise gives more help through slow grass. Compare mallets lays out the differences.
