Croquet mallets and balls in the Australian Capital Territory
The short answer: croquet players in the Australian Capital Territory can have an Invictus mallet made to their handle length and Invictus X balls sent to their club, with everything ordered online and delivered to Canberra and the surrounding districts.
Croquet across the ACT
The territory's croquet story runs through Yarralumla, where a lawn laid in 1925 for the Hotel Canberra became the home of a club that has played beside Commonwealth Avenue ever since. Winters bring hard frosts that leave the lawns slow and wet until mid-morning, and summers turn them fast and firm, so a Canberra player's mallet has to cope with both. Our Canberra page goes into the clubs, the conditions and which mallet we would suggest.

Our mallets and balls
The Invictus Rise (A$990) carries a head of roughly 3 lb, which is the weight you want on a frost-slowed lawn in July, and it remains the mallet most of our players choose. The RF Pro (A$1,980), developed alongside World Champion Robert Fletcher, is lighter at about 2 lb 12 oz and rewards a precise swing on a dry summer surface. Each handle is cut to the player's own measurement. Clubs topping up their stock can order Invictus X balls, approved for championship play by the World Croquet Federation, at A$990 a set.
Worth reading first: compare mallets and product care, which covers wiping down an aluminium head after a dewy morning.
